With a little planning and preparation, things in life become a lot easier and your week can go much more smoothly and save you a lot of stress. Here are 5 things to do on Sunday for a better week.
5 Things to Do on Sunday for a Better Week
1. Plan out your weekly goals
Knowing your goals in advance will make you way more productive and focused over the upcoming week. Spend a few minutes thinking about what you want or need to get done in the next week and set a few goals for yourself, including at least one that moves you forward on a goal you really care about or one of your dreams, even if it’s not required.

2. Set an intention for the week
Choosing a word or short phrase for the week ahead can help center you and keep you focused on the things that matter. You might pick an intention like “ace job interview,” “write something daily,” “make progress in my health,” or a single word like “focus,” “kind,” or “calm” to guide all your actions and decisions.
3. Create 3 MIT’s (most important tasks) for Monday
On Sunday, in addition to more general goals for the week, also create a list of your three most important tasks that you want to get done on Monday. You can do this the night before each day in the week (or the morning of) to be even more productive.
4. Plan out any grocery shopping or meals in advance
If you take care of logistical life stuff like shopping or meal planning on Sunday (or any day on the weekend), you can get ready for the week ahead and not have to worry about running out of coffee creamer on Wednesday and making a last-minute 8am trip to the store before work.
5. Tidy things up so everything is where it should be and you don’t have to go searching for lost things
If you can declutter and tidy up your things really well once, then it only takes minutes to keep things in order. If your things are generally put back in the same place each day (keys, wallet, phone, etc) then you don’t have to worry about losing something and scrambling trying to find it.
